After a half year from the accident, I got an invitation and I went to Nezu museum in Tokyo.This melody hit upon because I didn’t have to worry about radiation dose rate.
原発事故から半年ちょっと経ったときにお誘いを頂き、東京の根津美術館を巡っていたときに浮んだ旋律です。放射線量を気にしなくてもよい所はいいもので、そのときに浮んだ旋律です。

My close foreigner friend passed away.To pray for her I wrote a song "Beyond the woods"(in The Room of Triple Tempo).When I finished writing that song, I thought I heard her voice saying "No! It’s not like that!".
I realized that she didn’t look sad, but she was active.That made me to write this song.
I sent "Beyond the woods" to her family.
親しくして頂いていた或る外国人女性がお亡くなりになり、追悼の曲（《３拍子の部屋》の「樹々の彼方へ」）を完成させたときに突然「違う！」という彼女の声が聞こえてきました。
そういえば、こんな寂しそうという印象はなく、活発なかたであったと思ったときに流れてきた旋律を曲にしたものです。
ご家族には「樹々の彼方へ」をお渡ししました。

One night after few months from the accident, I almost had broken off my heart.Then the rhythms came up first, and melody followed.The melody sounded like endless.As starting recording, I felt my hearts beats.
At the end of the song, its melody gave me a courage not to give in.
原発事故後から数ヶ月した或る夜、めげそうになる自分がいました。そのときに最初にリズムが現れ、次いで旋律が流れてきました。いつ終るかわからないような旋律でした。
記録し始めると少しずつ高揚してくるのがわかります。最後は負けてなるかといった心にさせてくれた旋律でした。

In my early 20s, a geisha in Dake asked me to write a song.Mr.Yabuuchi Kiichiro left me a poem when he had visited Dake.
The poem is about heart breaking, so I made it minor.
However the song was rejected because she expected a song which can be sung cheerfully at the Ozashiki.
Fortunately, the score is still here.
まだ２０代半ば頃に、岳温泉の芸者さんから作曲を依頼されました。作詞家の薮内喜一郎氏が岳温泉に来たときに一遍の詩を置いていったとのことでした。詩は失恋物であったので短調にしましたが、依頼者はお座敷で手拍子を入れて賑やかに歌えるものを期待していたとのことで没になりました。
珍しく楽譜が残っていました。
